The Center for Disability and Integration (CDI-HSG) started to operate in March 2009. The establishment of the new center was made possible through a private donation. The Center is affiliated to the Swiss Institute for Empirical Economic Research (SEW-HSG) and the Institut für Führung und Personalmanagement (I.FPM-HSG).
The CDI-HSG pursues the following aims:
- The CDI-HSG contributes to the research on labor market integration of people with disabilities from the perspective of business administration, economics and applied disability research.
- The CDI-HSG places this topic as a constant focus of research at the University of St.Gallen.
- Our research results are transfered not only into teaching at the university but also into corporate practice. Our research thus contributes to an increase in employment of people with disabilities in the long run.
- The CDI-HSG builds national and international networks with researchers, universities, and companies in the area of disability and handicap research.
