ComToAct Award The ComToAct Prize is a practice-based award for companies that are involved in an outstanding way for the integration of people with disabilities in the workplace. Integration at the primary labor market As part of the initiative «Commitment to Action» of the CDI-HSG, the ComToAct Award has been developed to honor companies that engage themselves in integrating persons with disabilities in the primary labor market. This year's motto of the ComToAct Award is «Prove that it is possible! Exemplary measures for the integration of persons with disabilities». The measures that are honored in the course of this ComToAct Award should primarily be applicable in other contexts and therefore, in the long run be able to be adapted by other companies via observational learning. The distinctive feature of this Award is, that it will be awarded transnational in the German-speaking countries. At the award ceremony, companies will the honored that show outstanding commitment for the inclusion of persons with disabilities at the workplace and hereby improve their participation in social life. Earmarked prize money The ComToAct Award is endowed with CHF 15'000. The prize money has to be used for the specific purpose of increasing the activities for integration in the company. The ComToAct winner cannot only present himself publically during the award ceremony at the University of St.Gallen but also benefits of the internal and external improvement of reputation and of being a transnational role model. Additionally, he/she will receive scientific support as well as free consulting services by the CDI-HSG in the accompaniment of his integration projects. This year's ComToAct ceremony took place on Thursday, March 24th 2011 at the University of St.Gallen (Switzerland). Information on winners are currently only available in German. The ComToAct-Prize will be awarded every second year. The next award is planned for the year 2013. Additional information including application material will be timely provided here.
