Research Economics The goal of research in the economic area is to provide a contribution to the economic integration of people with disabilities, and thus to relieve the social security systems. The research activity is largely empirically oriented and uses a relatively broad methodological spectrum. Relevant research questions are: What economic factors explain the increase in the number of people with disabilities? How can we prevent disabilities? What is needed to ensure that employers hire people with disabilities? Which individual actions are successful to promote the sustainable integration of people with disabilities? How should social security systems be framed to facilitate the integration of people with disabilities, while remaining financially viable?
