The focus of the interdisciplinary research center is the professional inclusion of people with disabilities and related topics in the respective subject areas.
The various research focuses of the CDI-HSG are headed by Prof. Dr. Stephan Böhm (Business Administration) and Prof. Dr. Nils Jent (Applied Disability). Further information on current research in the individual departments can be found on the corresponding subpages.
Business research deals with the inclusion of people with disabilities in the immediate work and organizational context. The focus is on the behavior of employees as well as the framework conditions and processes in companies that positively influence the inclusion of people with disabilities and the avoidance of incapacity to work. In this context, the Business Administration department also deals with the topic of New Work, in particular researching the health effects of digitalization.
The Applied Disability department develops concrete measures and practical recommendations for the inclusion of people with disabilities in companies and in society based on the findings of basic research. The aim of the unit is to design practical inclusion concepts and tools so that everyone involved can benefit from them.
